Austin BELL Camp Day 6

Today was the sixth day of BELL camp. In Blindness Lesson, Students got to participate in a lesson involving discussing independent skills of blindness with a blind mentor. Examples were: canes skills, housekeeping, social skills, and team building. In Reading students made letters with candies. In writing students got to practice the slate and stylus. In Extra Curricular students practice speaking introducing themselves and voicing their appreciation for Braille. Students also practiced pouring liquids in Nonvisual class.
The lunch was turkey and cheese sandwiches. For recess students finished watching the movie they began on Friday. The reader for the day was Pam, a woman who is a proud mother of 4 children, a full time receptionist, and a Braille reader. The afternoon group activity was going out for snow cones. Tomorrow’s tease is: let’s get to bouncing!
